Think you have what it takes to be a star? Test your talent when auditions for "American Idol" are held in Chattanooga on Aug. 28.

This will be "Idol's" first trip to Chattanooga looking for prospective contestants, although several former contestants and Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina hail from this area.

No specific location in Chattanooga was given in Thursday's announcement of audition cities.

Chattanooga is the third stop on the "American Idol" bus tour of open-call auditions.

Any singer under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian register them for the tryout. Singers must be at least 15 years old to audition.
