The outside temperature reads a few degrees higher than the actual temperature due to heat reflections from the vehicle and the asphalt.
Hamilton County deputies responding to a stolen-car call recovered an unmarked Soddy-Daisy police vehicle, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
The release didn't say how, when or from where the police car went missing or who reported the loss. It said deputies were searching for items missing from the vehicle.
