Georgia picked up a quarterback commitment for its 2019 signing class Friday night, receiving a nonbinding pledge from John Rhys Plumlee of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Plumlee is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com, which ranks him as the nation's No. 20 athlete prospect in the 2019 class and the No. 269 overall recruit. Plumlee threw for 1,759 yards with 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions as an Oak Grove High junior last season, and he rushed for 599 yards and eight scores.

Plumlee also plays baseball at Oak Grove.

"I am committed to continue playing football and baseball at the University of Georgia," Plumlee posted on social media.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Notre Dame have offered football scholarships to Plumlee, in addition to the in-state tandem of Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
