If you were alive in 1997 and owned a radio, you can probably sing every word of the song "Semi-Charmed Life." The hit by Third Eye Blind was seemingly everywhere. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, was No. 1 on the Modern Rock Tracks for eight weeks and earned a Billboard Music Award for Modern Rock Track of the Year.
The band was formed by Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan in 1993 (Cadogan left the band in 2000). "Semi-Charmed Life" was on their self-titled debut album. Other singles on the album included "Graduate," "Losing a Whole Year," "Jumper" and "How's It Going To Be."
They played the latter song later that year when they were musical guests on "Saturday Night Live."
They take pride in being a hard-working rock 'n' roll band that plays real instruments. They've been influenced in their musical careers by Led Zeppelin, U2, The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, Camper Van Beethoven, The Clash and The Police.

For some, Delbert McClinton might be one of those artists you might not know that you know, but you know him — or at least his work. "Giving It Up for Your Love," "Sending Me Angels," "Every Time I Roll the Dice" and "B Movie Boxcar Blues" were all hits for him. The latter even made it onto the "The Blue Brothers" album.
He will be playing on the Bud Light Stage and will be followed by Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band. And if you like tight vocals, check out The Shadowboxers on the Unum Stage at 8 p.m. and local singing sensation Jermaine Purifory & TSJ Soul Band on the Chevy Stage at 7:30.
