Joseph Ellis

Joseph Ellis, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was a 1959 graduate of Rossville High School. Joe was an avid fan of golf and was a member of Battlefield Golf Club for over 40 years. He began playing there before the 18th hole was completed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest "Bub" Ellis and Mae Ellis; son-in-law, Billy Pilgrim; and brother-in-law, Venon Hill. He is survived by his wife, Connie Davis Ellis; children, Renee Pilgrim, Mark Ellis (Starr), Tim Ellis (Angela), Joey Ellis; sister, Marlene Hill; stepchildren, Paul Nichols (Janet) and Tessa Vaughn (Jesse). He had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Battlefield Country Club. He wanted his friends and family to join together to share and remember some great memories of his life. Joe or J.O. as many may know him was blessed to have the best group of friends anyone could ever wish for. Arrangements are by Cremation Center of Chattanooga, 1345 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga.
