Betty McGovern

TRACY CITY — Betty E. McGovern, 80, passed away on June 13, 2018. She died peacefully at the hospital in Sewanee with family by her side. Betty is survived by her daughter, Kelly Held and son-in-law, Bob Held, of Marietta, Ga.; her son, Keith McCeney and daughter-in-law, Janese McCeney, of Franklin, Tenn.; and by her grandchildren, Elliott McCeney, Christopher Held and his wife Hannah, Caleb McCeney, and Callie McCeney. Services will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle, Tenn., on Tuesday, June 19th. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends consider making a donation to the Grundy County Historical Society, one of Betty’s favorite of her many projects.
